Why buyers source mirror touch switches from us
Standard models start from 2 pcs, so you can fit a sample on your own mirror and glass before a production order.
Switch, defogger pad, LED strip and driver come from the same catalogue, so the parts are matched and quoted together.
Logo, lead length, connector and button icons can be changed on most models; we confirm what can change in the quote.
How to choose
- Match the input to your LED strip: most mirror switches here run on 12V or 12-24V DC.
- Check the glass: capacitive switches are specified by mirror thickness, typically 1-5 mm.
- Single-colour, 3-colour (CCT), or with defogger and clock display: pick the function first, then the model.
- Size the power supply for the strip load, then confirm the switch's max load covers it.

How it is wired
How is a mirror touch switch wired into the mirror?
The switch sits on the low-voltage side, between the LED driver and the strip. The driver's DC output goes to the switch input, and the switch output goes to the strip. The mains connection stays on the driver, so the switch body behind the glass only carries 12V or 24V DC.
A single-colour strip needs one output pair. A 3-colour (CCT) strip has a warm white line and a cool white line, so a CCT switch such as the TD101D or TD102D has more output wires. Match the wire colours to the strip markings before soldering or plugging in, and check the wiring diagram on the product page for models with a defogger or display output.
The sensing pad must sit flat against the glass behind the key icon. An air gap or thick foam tape reduces sensitivity, so test the switch on a sample of your own glass before approving production.
How do I check that the switch can carry the strip load?
Work out the strip load first: strip watts per metre multiplied by the metres fitted to the mirror. Then convert to current at your supply voltage, because the switch's limit is a current limit. A 60W rating at 12V is 60W ÷ 12V = 5A, which is the figure given for the TD100. The same 5A at 24V is 5A × 24V = 120W.
Some listings give a single wattage for both 12V and 24V, for example the TD100D 3-colour version lists 12V / 24V DC, 5A and 60W. In that case ask which voltage the wattage refers to and size the strip against the lower figure until it is confirmed.
For larger mirrors with long strip runs, the higher-rated models in this range are listed at 120W: TS-A03 / TS-B02, DK03 / DK02, FWS-6 and the three-colour single-key dimmer. Smaller mirrors with short strips can use a lower-rated model such as the TD101.
Which housing and size fits the mirror back?
Most models use an ABS housing. The TD102, TSP-01 and YF-D1202 are listed with aluminium housings and an IP65 rating, while the DK03 / DK02 and JL-TS-2KEY-UP-03(04) use PVC. Choose the IP rating by where the switch body sits: the TD101 and TTS-A03 / TTS-B02 are listed at IP20, the TD100 and MTB at IP22.
Depth matters when the mirror is close to the wall. The TD102 measures 42 x 33 x 8 mm and the TTB / TTW is described as 8 mm ultra-thin. Display models are larger than plain touch switches, so the clear window in the mirror coating has to be planned around the display.
What mistakes cause problems on mirror switch orders?
Glass outside the listed range is the most common cause of a switch that does not respond. Most models here are listed for 1-5 mm, while the MTW-A03 / MTW-B02, FY-FDK-DS and TSP-01 list 1-6 mm and the DK03 / DK02 and JL-TS-2KEY-UP-03(04) list 1-7 mm.
Other frequent errors: connecting a 24V driver to a 12V-only model such as the TD101 or MTB; pairing a single-colour switch with a CCT strip; ordering the 20 cm cable option when the driver sits far from the switch (the TD100 is listed with 1.2 m or 20 cm, the TD102 with 15 cm); and fitting an IP20 switch in a position exposed to splashes.
What can be adjusted for OEM mirror switch orders?
The listings already show several variants that can be specified per order: cable length (1.2 m or 20 cm on the TD100), connector type (an SM connector version is listed), indicator colour (white or blue light) and housing colour (black or white).
For other changes, such as key layout or cable exit, send the mirror drawing and the functions you need and we confirm what applies to the model.

Frequently asked questions
Do mirror touch switches need a hole in the glass?
No. Capacitive mirror switches stick to the back of the glass and sense a finger through it. Each model lists the glass thickness it works with.
What is the difference between single-colour and 3-colour (CCT) switches?
Single-colour switches turn one LED strip on, off and dim it. 3-colour switches drive a tunable-white strip and step between warm, neutral and cool white.
Can you add a defogger or clock function?
Yes. Several models switch a defogger pad or show time and temperature. See the Mirror Defogger Pads range or tell us the functions you need.
Can I run a mirror touch switch on 24V?
Only if the model lists a 24V input. The TD100, SCQJ, TD102, YF-D1202 and FWS-6 accept 12V or 24V DC, while the TD101 and MTB list 12V DC only. Check the input on the product page before connecting a 24V driver.
Why does the switch not react through my glass?
Check that the glass is within the model's listed thickness, that the sensing pad is pressed flat against the glass with no air gap, and that the pad sits fully inside the clear window. If it still does not react, send us the glass sample details and the model number.
